Van Jones
President, Green for All

Van Jones is the founder and president of Green For All, a national advocacy organization based in Oakland, California. Green For All is committed to building an inclusive, green economy - strong enough to lift millions of people out of poverty. Van is a tireless advocate, championing “green-collar jobs and opportunities” for disadvantaged people. He is committed to creating “green pathways out of poverty,” while greatly expanding the coalition fighting global warming.
Van’s advocacy for the toughest urban constituencies and causes has earned him many honors. These include: the 1998 Reebok International Human Rights Award; the International Ashoka Fellowship; selection as a World Economic Forum “Young Global Leader;” the Rockefeller Foundation “Next Generation Leadership” Fellowship; Elle Magazine Green Award 2008; George Lucas Foundation’s “Daring Dozen 2008;” Hunt Prime Mover Award 2008; Campaign for America’s Future “Paul Wellstone Award 2008;” and Global Green USA “Community Environmental Leadership” Award. Van also co-founded both the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights and Color of Change. Both organizations are committed to equal justice and opportunity for low-income people and people of color.
A 1993 Yale Law graduate, Van lives in Oakland with his wife and two sons.
Roger Efird
President, Suntech America

Roger Efird joined Suntech in 2006 after 16 years at BP Solar International. He is a true renewable energy pioneer with over 20 years experience in the solar industry. At BP he served in various senior roles including Director of Marketing, Director of Global Distribution, and as the Americas Sales Manager. Mr. Efird also owned his own alternative energy consulting company prior to joining Suntech. He was elected and is the current Chairman of the Board of the US Solar Energy Industry Association (SEIA), the major industry trade association in the United States, and is also on the Board of the U.S. Solar Alliance. He has a BS in Sales and Marketing from Western Carolina University.
Tom Werner
CEO, SunPower Corp.

Thomas H. Werner has served as SunPower Corporation’s chief executive officer and as a member of the SunPower Board of Directors since June of 2003. Prior to joining SunPower, Mr. Werner held the position of chief executive officer of Silicon Light Machines, Inc., an optical solutions subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corporation. Previously, Mr. Werner was vice president and general manager of the Business Connectivity Group of 3Com Corp., a network solutions company. He has also held a number of executive management positions at Oak Industries, Inc., and General Electric Co., and currently serves as a board member of Silicon Light Machines and, Cree, Inc. Mr. Werner holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University.
